Biography

Dr M. D. Ogden is a Senior Lecturer, with research focused on solvent extraction (SX) and IX, for targeted recovery of metals from ores, nuclear and metallurgical wastes and processing streams. Dr. Ogden is interesting in more directly tailoring unit operations in the fuel cycle to final waste form. He previously worked as a PDRA at INL, developing novel separation techniques and supercritical NH3-based extractions. From 2011-2013, as a researcher with ANSTO, he developed processes for uranium and REE recovery from ores using SX and IX. In recent years he has been consulting on base metal and noble metal recoveries for WasteCare and RS Bruce Metals and
