Biography

Neil Hyatt has 15 years experience in radioactive waste management and disposal, and is Professor of Nuclear Materials Chemistry, Royal Academy of Engineering & Nuclear Decommissioning Professor of Radioactive Waste Management, and Head of Department of Materials Science & Engineering at The University of Sheffield; he was a member of HM Government’s Nuclear Innovation Research Advisory Board. Hyatt’s research interests focus on innovating materials, processes and policy to support the safe, timely and efficient clean up of the UK radioactive waste legacy.
