Biography

Helen Boyd graduated from the University of South Carolina with a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering. She was employed by the Liquid Waste Organization at the Savannah River Site for 14 years. While there, she held management and leadership positions in Tank Farm Engineering, Flowsheet Engineering, Defense Waste Processing Facility Engineering, Nuclear Safety, and Salt Waste Processing Facility Integration. Helen is currently the Nuclear and Criticality Safety manager for the Central Plateau Cleanup Company at Hanford. Her organization is responsible for development and maintenance of the Safety Basis for 15 Hazard Category 2 and 3 facilities and Transportation Safety for the Hanford Site.
