Biography

Pawel Woelke is a Principal and Senior Leader within Thornton Tomasetti’s Applied Science Practice. Pawel, who specialises in computational, structural and fluid mechanics, predictive failure modelling and materials science, leads Thornton Tomasetti’s decarbonisation and industrial R&D efforts, which involve tackling the most challenging engineering problems in energy, infrastructure and other safety critical industries. Pawel, who has contributed to and led a number of vulnerability studies for critical infrastructure, including bridges, tunnels, buildings and storage facilities, is leading the Development of New Simulation Techniques to Assess Packaging and Containment Arrangements for Special Nuclear Material (SNM) project.
