Biography

He has 30+ years of experience gained across a number of capital projects and technical specialist roles in the nuclear sector in particular nuclear decommissioning and alpha operations. At present he is the Innovation Lead for Special Nuclear Materials at Sellafield LTD base in Cumbria, England, with responsibility of bring ‘Game Changing’ ideas to future and everyday operations. He has a PhD in thermodynamics focusing on heat and mass transfer and has worked in the aerospace industry in the field of structural stress analysis in dynamic systems. His research covers the following primary areas of, remote systems, simulation and modelling, with a present focus on alpha operations and decommissioning.
