Biography

John Kirkpatrick is a senior physicist with the Characterization Division of Mirion Technologies (Canberra). His work focuses on developing innovative detection and analysis technology for nuclear measurements for a wide range of applications, specializing in the non-destructive assay of special nuclear materials. Dr. Kirkpatrick was recognized as an AREVA Expert in 2011 in the areas of instrumentation, mathematics and scientific computing, and neutronics. He earned his Ph.D. in nuclear physics from the University of New Hampshire in 2005.
