Jim Zickefoose holds a PhD in Physics from the University of Connecticut (2010) with a concentration in experimental nuclear physics. He began working with Canberra in 2010 as a research scientist in the physics group and in 2013 transitioned to the Radiation Monitoring Systems group (RMS) as the lead RMS physicist and soon after passed the ABHP exam to become a Certified Health Physicist. In 2016 he transitioned to the Spectroscopy division of Mirion (Canberra) as a senior research scientist where he specializes in measurement, shielding, and Monte Carlo modeling of all types of nuclear radiation.
