Biography

Dr. Robert Sindelar is an expert in nuclear materials science & technology in the broad fields of aging effects and aging management of structures, and applications of materials in nuclear systems. Dr. Sindelar has 35 years of research, development, and deployment (RD&D) experience and a publication portfolio in a broad range of materials disciplines for the nuclear fuel cycle; nuclear systems’ structural integrity demonstrations; environmental degradation including mechanical and corrosion properties of ferrous materials and of aluminum alloys; irradiation effects; fracture analysis of metallic structures and components; and international codes & standards.
