Biography

I am a 3rd year PhD student at the University of Bristol, UK. I also did my undergraduate degree in Physics and my masters degrees in Nuclear Science and Engineering, both at Bristol University. My undergraduate research project was in comparing dissolution rates of nuclear fuels UO2 and UN to compare decommissioning and LOCA characteristics. This was published in the Journal of Nuclear Materials (https://doi.org/10.1016/j.jnucmat.2019.03.006). During my masters, I studied magnetic field effects on the corrosion of Fusion reactor steel EUROFER-97 under magnetic fields. Since then I have conducted computational research on radiation modelling of spent fuel in decommissioning scenarios as a part of the TRANSCEND consortium.
