Biography

Josh Linard serves as DOE’s Geospatial Information Officer, in the Office of the Chief Information Officer, and leads the development of a collaborative, structured, and empowered DOE geospatial community producing, using, and sharing quality, curated geospatial data to ensure advanced, innovative solutions in support of the DOE mission. His career began in the U.S. Geological Survey as a research hydrologist developing and applying watershed-scale chemical transport models. That experience led him to DOE’s Office of Legacy Management where he worked to implement a lifecycle data management approach to improve the quality, integrity, and accessibility of its environmental and spatial data.
