Biography

Denise Bleakly has been with Sandia National Laboratories for over 28 years. She holds both a BA and MS in geography and is a certified GIS Professional (GISP). Her geospatial work at Sandia has been varied – setting up a GIS database for environmental remediation activities and environmental management, transportation of nuclear materials, national security studies, imagery analysis, cartography, and geospatial data management. Her current work has emphasized the long-term preservation of geospatial databases.
