Biography

Rebecca Peters is the Superintendent, Special Projects for Cameco Corporation Fuel Services Division. She has worked for Cameco since 2005 providing technical support and management in environment, radiation protection, quality, analytical services, and regulatory compliance. Rebecca has degrees in biology and business from Queen’s University as well as Master of Science degree from the University of New Brunswick. Rebecca is also a fellow of the World Nuclear University. Rebecca is currently responsible for licensing activities, safeguards and waste management projects at Cameco’s Ontario facilities and is an active member of Canadian Standards Association technical subcommittees on waste characterization and waste management.
