Biography

Colin Wilkins is the Physics Team Manager at Mirion Technologies (Canberra UK) Ltd. in its Characterization Division, where he is responsible for providing systems and services for the non-destructive assay of nuclear materials to customers in the UK and worldwide including Sellafield, Magnox, KTE and Nucleco. He began his career at UK Atomic Energy Authority at Harwell before privatisation when it became part of Canberra in 1999. In 2016 Canberra merged with Mirion to become a leading provider of innovative products, systems and services related to the measurement, detection and monitoring of radiation. The focus of Mirion’s Characterization Division is on the support of Decontamination and Decommissioning activities.
