University of Bristol
I undertook a Physics degree from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece, specialising in Nuclear and Elementary Particle Physics, with a dissertation about Fast Neutron Spectroscopy in a Spherical Proportional Counter. Subsequently, and after a year of enlistment in the Hellenic (Greek) Army (national service is mandatory for male citizens of Greece), I studied at the University of Bristol on the Nuclear Science and Engineering MSc, with a dissertation regarding the Separation of Helium-3 and Helium-4. Following that, and after a 6-month technician post, I began my PhD studentship, studying the corrosion of uranium carbide in geological disposal conditions.
