Biography

John is the Head of Technical Strategy for Magnox Ltd, a subsidiary of the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority in the UK, responsible for the accelerated decommissioning strategy of the UK fleet of commercial graphite cored reactors and several research reactors. John currently chairs the Nuclear Waste and Decommissioning Research Forum, on behalf of the NDA, and chairs the Nuclear Institute's Digital Special Interest Group. He also sits on several academic advisory panels and is chair of the Cumbria County Scout Executive. John is a Chartered Engineer and Fellow of the Institute of Mechanical Engineers
