Biography

Professor Colin Boxall holds The Lloyd’s Register Foundation Chair in Nuclear Decommissioning & Engineering at Lancaster University. With a Bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Durham University and a PhD from Imperial College London, he has research interests in the chemical behaviour of the actinides throughout the nuclear fuel cycle. He has written more than 170 publications including over 60 reports for the UK nuclear industry. He has presented to the Westminster Energy Forum on Nuclear Power (resulting in a mention in the House of Lords), and has given oral evidence to Parliament on the future of the Nuclear Industry.
