My research activity has been started during my BSc studies when I first became interested in mineralogy. After several successful conference attendances I wanted to broaden my knowledge in crystallography and material characterisation techniques. Therefore, I continued my studies in the field of materials science and worked part-time in a research institute as a technician. My current PhD project is related to glass-ceramic high-level nuclear wastes in which I can utilize my skills from both geology and materials science. My main scientific interests: nuclear wastes, ion irradiation damages, ceramics, glass-ceramics, electron microscopy
