Biography

PhD Candidate in Nuclear Waste Management on a joint-funded project by the US Department of Energy and Sheffield Hallam University in close collaboration with Pacific Northwest National Laboratory. Also, a researcher at Sheffield Hallam University on projects collaborating with the UK Nuclear and Glass Industries including the National Nuclear Laboratory. Received a Bachelor of Science in Theoretical Physics from University of Sheffield and Master of Science in Engineering and Management. Research interests include evaluating candidate glass compositions for immobilisation of wastes and exploring the vitrification process in continuous melting systems, aiming to help demonstrate the safe immobilisation of radioactive wastes.
