Biography

Miles Greiner received his Ph.D. from MIT in 1986, and joined the Mechanical Engineering faculty of the University of Nevada, Reno that same year. He is currently Foundation Professor and Department Chair of Mechanical Engineering, and an ASME Fellow. He and his students have performed experimental and computational research on the thermal performance of used nuclear fuel packages since 1993. He is the principal educator of the University of Nevada, Reno Graduate Certificate in Nuclear Packaging.
