Biography

Mr. Jensen has degrees in Nuclear & Mechanical Engineering. He is the Team Lead of the Applied Engineering Team in the Operational Systems Group at Pacific Northwest National Lab. The Applied Engineering Team provides integrated design and multidisciplinary engineering approaches (e.g., nuclear, mechanical, electrical, civil, environmental, systems engineering) to solve challenges in energy, environment, and security. His current work involves studying the likelihood of SNF canister degradation, and investigating the structural performance of fuel during storage and transport. His past work includes performing engineering and safety analysis, seismic analysis of fuel components in nuclear reactors, analyzing flow induced deflections of reactor components, and engineering work for utilities and fuel vendors.
