Savannah River National Laboratory
Mr. Michael Stone has over 30 years of experience in support of Savannah River Site missions, beginning as a summer intern in 1989. He worked as a system and shift technical engineer during production of Pu-238 for the Cassini mission to Saturn before transferring to the Savannah River National Laboratory. His work at SRNL has focused on treatment and immobilization of high level waste both at the Savannah River Site and at other DOE sites and served as Executive Director of the Network of National Laboratories for Environmental Management and Stewardship (NNLEMS) from 2018 to 2021. Mr. Stone has a Bachelor’s of Science degree from Clemson University.
