Biography

Paul Shoemaker is a senior manager at Sandia National Laboratories. In his current assignment, he is responsible for Sandia’s remote site in Carlsbad, New Mexico, and manages all of Sandia’s work in connection with the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant. This is his second stint in this role for Sandia, having resided in Carlsbad from 2000 to 2006, when he led the WIPP participant organization team that provided technical content for the first Compliance Recertification Application for WIPP. Mr. Shoemaker is a native of Albuquerque, New Mexico. He has degrees in physics and public administration.
