Biography

Alan joined the NDA in April 2018 after spending a significant number of years in the operational reactor and new build markets. He is responsible for the assurance and performance improvement of all our operating businesses. He also leads our approach to Sustainability, Project Management, and Technology and Innovation. He is a Chartered Civil and Structural Engineer and completed his Nuclear training at MIT in Boston. Before joining the NDA, Alan was Capital Projects and Engineering Director for Viridor, part of Pennon, Deputy Project Director for EDF Energy’s New Build Nuclear Programme, and Director of Projects for British Energy.
