Biography

Susan T. Hanson is an environmental scientist/ contractor working with the Shoshone-Bannock Tribes in her current capacity since 2004. Her responsibilities include work on National Priority List Superfund Sites, Resource Conservation and Recovery Act sites and mining reclamation sites. She works on the risk assessments to ensure Tribal specific scenarios are included in the assessments. She works to ensure toxic and hazardous contaminants and sources are characterized and remediated, minimizing exposure to the Tribal communities and ecological receptors. Susan participates in national workgroups to further the rights of tribal nations to protect their land, resources and health.
