Calvin M. Hopper is a senior nuclear criticality safety (NCS) having provided services throughout his career to government contractors and agencies, commercial nuclear industries, universities, and national and international NCS consensus standards development. He has 53 years’ experience, including his consultancies, since retirement from the Oak Ridge National Laboratory in 2008 that has included NCS technical, programmatic, administrative and management positions associated with fissile material processes, fabrication, storage, packaging and transportation. The American Nuclear Society conferred upon him the “Membership Grade of Fellow” for his outstanding contributions to the advancement of nuclear science and engineering in the field of NCS.
