Biography

Kenneth G. Picha held senior positions within the Department of Energy’s Office of Environmental Management, including Deputy Assistant Secretary for Field Operations and for Tank Waste and Nuclear Materials prior to his retirement in 2018. He has over thirty-five years of experience in engineering, operations, and project management dealing with nuclear power plant systems and high-level radioactive waste management activities. Specific areas of experience include field operation reviews, development of DOE's radioactive waste management requirements, nuclear materials management, and low-level waste disposal.
