Biography

Following a PhD investigating Uranium Oxide Catalysts, Dr. Harris started his career in Radwaste Management with AEAT and is currently employed by Magnox Ltd. For more than ten years he has been responsible for identifying Radwaste solutions for 12 Magnox sites; overseeing technical underpinning to justify that manufactured waste packages are suitable for disposal in a future Geological Disposal Facility. During this time, he led the introduction of two novel container concepts to the UK. Dr. Harris also acts Waste Integration Manager for the Magnox Rolling Programme of Decommissioning and leads Graphite Management for the NDA's Integrated Waste Management Programme.
