Biography

Jonathan “JD” Dowell is the Director for Fluor Nuclear Power responsible for Fluor Mission Solution's government and commercial nuclear design and EPC projects and operations. Prior to joining Fluor, JD was a Senior Manager serving in both DOE offices at Hanford to manage tank waste, Waste Treatment Plant construction, and D&D activities across the River Plateau. JD served 26 years in the Nuclear Navy, commanding the USS ALABAMA, SSBN 731 (G) as well as the Naval Undersea Warfare Center in Keyport, Washington. He is an alumnus of Georgia Tech and the University of Nebraska and has been certified for DoD large Project Management and Naval Reactor Operations.
