Dr. Angela Leek a Certified Health Physicist and Founder of Quantum Radiation Solutions, a consulting firm that provides expertise and training related to radiation protection, regulatory oversight, and emergency preparedness and response. Her work focuses on strengthening radiological response capability through practical training and the integration of emerging technologies such as simulation and artificial intelligence into preparedness programs. Prior to founding Quantum Radiation Solutions, Dr. Leek served as the Radiation Control Program Director for the State of Iowa. In that role, she oversaw regulatory programs for radioactive materials and radiation-producing machines and coordinated radiological emergency preparedness across state and federal partners. Dr. Leek holds a Ph.D. in Occupational Health and Safety from Iowa State University and a Master’s degree in Radiation Health Physics from Oregon State University. She has authored multiple peer-reviewed publications on radiological risk communication, responder decision-making, and training methodologies, and regularly presents at national and international conferences on radiation protection and emergency preparedness.
