Elena Sorokina is the Communications and Research Director at Crude Accountability, a Northern Virginia-based NGO working to protect the environmental and human rights of communities in the Caspian and Black Sea regions impacted by oil and gas development. Crude Accountability also collaborates on the national, regional, and international levels with those committed to a just and environmentally sustainable world.
