Jennifer C. MacDonald is the Director of the Sustainability Performance Office at the Department of Energy. Her work focuses on reporting and analyzing DOE’s efforts to reduce energy use, water consumption, and greenhouse gas emissions while increasing renewable energy use and sustainable buildings across the DOE complex. Jennifer joined DOE in 2008 in the Office of Budget where she managed over $20 billion in funding for energy efficiency and renewable energy. Prior to DOE, Jennifer worked on environmental health, emergency operations, appropriations and Congressional affairs at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. She holds an MPA in Environmental Science, Policy and Management from Columbia University,
