Biography

Peter C. van Wyck is Professor of Communication Studies at Concordia University in Montréal. He is an interdisciplinary scholar, teacher and writer with an abiding interest in the theoretical and practical relations between culture, nature, environment, landscape and memory. He has been the recipient of numerous grants and awards, and his primary research has been funded by FQRSC, and three times by SSHRC, most recently (2024) a seven-year Insight Grant for a project entitled The Greening of the Atom. His most recent book, The Highway of the Atom (McGill-Queens University Press) – winner of the Gertrude J. Robinson book award from the Canadian Communication Association.
