Biography

Prof Fairhall has spent over 34 years working in R&D and has held a range of executive and technical leadership roles. He has led major R&D programmes underpinning civil nuclear in the UK and internationally. In his current role as CSTO for NNL he is responsible for the science and technical strategy and programmes covering the breadth of the nuclear fuel cycle. He sits on the Technical Advisory Panel for NDA’s Radioactive Waste Management Division and the UK Government’s Nuclear Innovation and R&D Advisory Board.
