Biography

Lars Müller works at BAM, the federal institute for materials research and testing of Germany in the division for safety of transport containers for radioactive material. After his diploma in civil engineering he developed the thermostrain method at the Cottbus University finalized by a doctoral thesis. Then he went to Salzgitter Mannesmann research, division structure mechanics and metal forming to improve pipe production. After 7 years in industry he started work at BAM end of 2011 in the field: assessment of RAM packages for transport. This presentation gives a brief insight in the assessment strategy especially for numerical analyses.
