Environmental Protection Agency Region IV
Appointed in 2007, Franklin E. Hill serves as Director of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Region 4’s Superfund Program in Atlanta, Georgia, covering eight Southeastern States and six federally recognized tribal nations. He is responsible for EPA’s implementation of the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act, also known as “Superfund”. He began his career with EPA in May 1988 and served in numerous capacities in the former Waste Management Division at EPA. In 2010 he was the recipient of the Donald J. Guinyard Pioneer Achievement and Diversity Awareness Awards. He is a native of Mississippi and earned his Bachelor of Science in Marketing Management from Kentucky
