Biography

Monika has over 20 years experience in safety demonstration and licensing of nuclear and radioactive waste management facilities. She is currently working in the Waste and Environmental Safety Section at the IAEA, working with IAEA Member State and Safety Standard Committees in establishing and maintaining a proper safety framework for the management of radioactive waste, spent fuel and disused sources; and assisting Member States in the development, use and application of international safety standards, methodologies, and tools.
