Biography

Ms. Kathy Johns-Hughes has 26 plus years of experience in nuclear facility operations and processes, analytical chemistry, waste management, and production facility startup. Kathy spent most of her career at the Savannah River Site supporting Reactors, High Level Waste programs and Operations including the Transuranic program within the Solid Waste Program. She left SRS in 2010 to continue her career in the TRU Program at Los Alamos National Laboratory. Kathy is currently employed by Los Alamos Nuclear Services as the Los Alamos Transuranic Program Director. In this capacity, she is responsible for the management and disposition of and
