Biography

Dr. Donald M. “Matt” Reeves is an Associate Research Professor at the Desert Research Institute and is Faculty to the Hydrologic Sciences Program at the University of Nevada, Reno through which he mentors graduate students and teaches a graduate-level course in subsurface contaminant transport. He has a Ph.D. from the University of Nevada, Reno and has 15 years of hydrogeology experience. Dr. Reeves specializes in the numerical simulation of subsurface fluid flow, heat, and contaminant transport in porous and fractured media, and today’s talk will focus on radionuclide transport predictions from a multi-year study at Rainier Mesa, Nevada.
