Biography

Jari Tuunanen became Diploma Engineer in Nuclear Engineering in 1986, and got Doctor Degree in 1993 from Lappeenranta University of Technology. He worked in nuclear reactor thermal hydraulics and advanced light water reactor research in Technical Research Centre of Finland. In 2004, he joined TVO, Olkiluoto, where he worked as R&D manager. There he was responsible for decommissioning planning of Olkiluoto NPP. In 2008 he moved to Fortum, Espoo, to lead nuclear waste department supporting Loviisa NPP in radioactive waste issues. Jari Tuunanen is married and has two daughters. He is a member of Finnish and European Nuclear Societies.
