Biography

Börje Torstenfelt works for SKB in Sweden, where he is Director, responsible for handling and disposal of low and intermediate level waste, and cost estimates for decommissioning of nuclear facilities. He has a PhD in Nuclear Chemistry from Chalmers University of Technology in Göteborg, Sweden. He did his PostDoc at the Los Alamos National Lab and Lawrence Berkeley Lab in the mid 80's. In the 90's he was specialist and manager at ABB Atom (now Westinghouse Electric Sweden) working with the design of waste treatment plants and off-gas systems in nuclear power plants.
