Jaiyana Bux graduated from University College London with a BSc (Honours) in Chemistry with Management Studies in 2007. In 2008 she joined the National Physical Laboratory Radioactivity Department as a research scientist. Later in 2011 she undertook a challenging sales role, re-launching the Nuclear Institute’s Journal. Currently she is conducting her integrated masters and PhD in the nuclear fuel cycle at the University of Leeds UK. Her major research interest is in developing an acoustic instrument for the in situ characterisation of settling industrial suspensions such as in clarifiers, thickeners and nuclear waste sludge deposits.
