Biography

Kari Rasilainen is Research Team Leader at VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland. Based in Espoo, he has over 30 years of experience in nuclear waste research. He did his doctoral thesis at Helsinki University of Technology, currently known as Aalto University. He is a member of the Radioactive Waste Management Committee of the OECD Nuclear Energy Agency. Kari Rasilainen is the coordinator of the Finnish Research Programme on Nuclear Waste Management (KYT programme) that is the topic of this presentation.
