Biography

Alex Brandl is Professor in the Environmental and Radiological Health Sciences Department at Colorado State University. Previously, he was Head of the Operational Safety Department at Nuclear Engineering Seibersdorf (NES) in Austria. At NES, he was responsible for radiological safety and nuclear security during decommissioning of the ASTRA research reactor and other facilities and laboratories and in waste treatment and storage for the Republic of Austria. He received MS and Ph.D. degrees in physics from the University of New Mexico.
