Abstract

This article is part of the second phase of the investigation of a methodology for decision-making in procurement and supply of transport in the supply chain (CS), using the strategy of consolidation. The consolidation stems from the intrinsic needs of producers and conveyors to minimize cost, maximize the level of service between an origin and a destination and multimodality flexibility. The consolidation is given by the ability of equipment Consolidation (EC), the use of the drive unit (AU) to various embodiments, the type of goods and the nature of the loading unit (UC). The first contribution of the paper is the nomenclature of transportation alternatives for consolidation, which is given from the literature review, because in this inventory consolidation models, collaboration strategies, optimization models found terminal, among others; but no inventory and interactions of all alternatives UC, CD and UA multimodal combination with features that allow quickly identifying the decisions were found. The second contribution of the article, is the selection of EC using the proposed nomenclature with PROMETHEE I, II method and the use of the Graphical GAIA (Geometrical Analysis for Interactive AID) under the criteria described in Network Multi Criteria Decision Transport (MCDN), to which a case study of consolidation is proposed for the CS of green coffee.
