The Effect of Education and Work on Public Participation in National Health Insurance through Income Levels

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine and analyze the effect of education and work on public participation in national health insurance through income levels, both direct and indirect impact through income levels. This type of research used in this research is associative research and implemented the Massenga Community Health Center's working area, Polewali Mandar Regency. The population, namely participants registered in JKN, amounted to 6,161 households because the number was significant. The Slovin formula was used. The result was 98 respondents sampled with a margin of error set of 10% or 0.10. The data collection method used was direct interviews with parties involved with the issue being discussed and giving questionnaires to participants registered in JKN following the research. Data analysis was performed using path analysis. The results showed that: (1) education positively and significantly affected income levels at Massena Public Health Center, Polman Regency, (2) Work has a positive and significant effect on income at the Polman Regency, (3) Education has a positive and significant impact on community participation in JKN at the Massena Community Health Center, Polman Regency, (4) Work has a positive and significant effect on community participation in JKN at the Massena Community Health Center, Polman Regency, (5) Income level has a positive and significant impact on community participation in JKN at the Massena Community Health Center, Polman Regency, (6) Education has a positive and significant effect on community participation in JKN through the level of income at the Massenga, Polman Regency, and (7) Work has a positive and significant impact on community participation in JKN through the story of payment at the Massena Community Health Center, Polman Regency.
