Abstract
This research was carried out from the many incidents of Discharge Against Medical Advice (DAMA). This situation will harm both parties. The hospital will suffer losses due to reduced income. The patient or family feels disadvantaged because the treatment has not been completed, so they seek treatment solutions from traditional healers. It may add to the patient's harm, such as a disability in the body and even death. This study aims to analyze hospital image and service quality on Discharge Against Medical Advice (DAMA) through patient satisfaction at the Majene District Hospital. This study using this type of research is quantitative research. The number of samples in this study was all 102 DAMA patients in Majene Hospital. They were collecting data using the method of distributing the research questionnaire statement sheet. Data analysis was performed using path analysis. The results explained a positive and significant influence between hospital image and service quality on patient satisfaction. The hospital image variables, service quality, and patient satisfaction with Discharge Against Medical Advice (DAMA) were negatively affected. The test results of the coefficient of determination of path analysis of sub-structure 1 indicate that patient satisfaction is influenced by the hospital's image and the quality of service. The test results of the determination coefficient of pathway substructure two analysis show that Discharge Against Medical Advice (DAMA) is influenced by the hospital's image, service quality, and patient satisfaction. The results of the indirect effect analysis calculation show that the hospital's idea and the quality of services harm Discharge Against Medical Advice (DAMA) through patient satisfaction.
