Abstract
- Background and problem discussion: This study is a research program on the implementation of Total Quality Management (TQM) in the readymade garments (RMG) manufacturing industries detailing the order in which quality tools and techniques should be implemented. The inclusive aim of this study is to determine whether and how the application of Total Quality Management (TQM) practices (i.e. key factors) can improve organizational and quality performance in the readymade (RMG) garments manufacturing industries. There is a reason to believe that TQM can be and is a viable approach for improving productivity and performance in this sector, while readymade garments industries are facing many problems in producing quality garments, reducing scrap-rework and prevailing proper environment.
