Abstract
Green Lean approach has recently emerged as key strategy to help organizations to improve their economic, environmental and social performance. However, many firms have found that the implementation of this strategy is very challenging. The aim of this paper is to presents a practical roadmap for implementing Green Lean initiative based on the Gemba-Kaizen approach. The developed model was developed on the basis of an extensive literature review and a very rich experience of the authors as researchers, consultants and industrialists. The developed roadmap was tested and validated by using two cases study in the automotive and aerospace sectors. The results indicated that this roadmap is a powerful tool to help firms’ o reduce the consumption of resources and improve their environmental performance.
