Abstract

There is a discovery of solar power unsustainability in the region of KwaZulu Natal. This is based on the lack of solar power improvement and the early failing of solar panel. Recent solar power has shown capabilities for replacing fuel energy. Analysis through various platform including research has demonstrated the high level of unsustainability which led to an early failure of the system. New project implementation comes with high financial commitment for the success of the project. An early failure will reduce the trust on the solar power system to many potential customers and the interested parties. This article adopts root cause analysis to reveal the major challenges. As the region of KZN has other areas without electricity, an improvement of solar power can come very hand in reducing the electricity demand. This will improve installed solar power as an alternative even to manufacturing industries. The statistical technique was also employed to further analyze the failed solar power installed project. Results show that solar particles are deteriorate due to high energy consumption. A necessary step will be guide by the recommendation made in the study. Technology transformation throughout the region needs to be researched further to address less technical challenges.
