Abstract
Process reengineering is an important technique for enhancing productivity and efficiency in production lines. The purpose of this study is to demonstrate the practicality of implementing reengineering techniques in a factory in Saudi Arabia that specializes in the production of diverse painting goods. These products are subsequently distributed to warehouses located throughout different cities in the country. The plant encounters challenges that result in delays in certain orders and reduced profitability, namely due to lead time. To tackle these issues, a green re-engineering methodology based on simulation is proposed to enhance the factory's performance in terms of both economic and environmental aspects. The results demonstrated a significant enhancement in the production rate and daily profit by approximately 35.67% and 32.88%, respectively, after the implementation of the new design in comparison to the current system.
